Julie Moraes
Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.)

Weaving together her experiences as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, yoga instructor and Western Herbalist, Julie seeks to use her knowledge to help her clients feel better and find freedom in their bodies. Julie’s goal as a holistic health care practitioner is to ensure every client feels heard, supported and relaxed during every treatment.
Her formal study of Traditional Chinese Medicine began in Nelson, BC at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences where she completed over 2500 hours of academic classes and a practicum in a busy student clinic. After graduating with honours, she went on to pass the Pan-Canadian Board Exams and become registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners of BC and Ontario. Julie recently became certified as an AcuDetox Specialist with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association and is passionate about using this ear acupuncture protocol to help people suffering from anxiety, PTSD, addictions and mental health issues.
Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, Julie studied Western Herbalism and owned a Yoga & Wellness Centre in Kimberley, BC where she taught a variety of yoga classes including vinyasa, acroyoga, prenatal, mom & baby and kids yoga. Her innate ability to connect with people supports her in building strong connections with her clients and her community. When she is not busy in her clinic you can find her cross country skiing, biking, paddle-boarding or exploring in nature.
